"In New York City, the American Museum of Natural History is holding a 'Winter Solstice Telescope Party' at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 20. Admission is $15;
 the evening will include cocoa and observations of celestial objects from the Arthur Ross Terrace, tips on how to observe the total eclipse, which takes place early the next day from 1:30 to 5 a.m. EST, and a preview of the eclipse in the Hayden Planetarium Space Theater"
