I was working in England at the time and learned of Kennedy's death from over hearing two men talking on the platform of the tube station.

I had to rush home in disbelief to hear it confirmed on the TV. And had trouble accepting it even then.

I was just a toddler when this happened and yet, this moment in history has always struck a melancholy chord in me,
even as a young student learning US History. It just never made any sense.
I'm glad you posted this, as I've always remembered Nov 22 as the anniversary of John F. Kennedy's death.
May he RIP.

Barry, our grandfather had a theory,
JFK was killed by Fidel Castro or by Martians. {!?!)

we didn't understand the Martian connection until recently we had an AHA! moment.

my grandfather was alluding to the space program and the USofA's intention of landing on the moon.

grandpa must've seen it like first blood drawn on space invaders.
