A Rat's Tail

NYC: Fulton Street Subway StationImage by wallyg via Flickr

we jump off at Fulton Street and there it is. smack in the middle
of the platform: a dead rat.

why let a perfectly good found object go to waste.
especially on a slow day . . . even if it is a carcass.

so we begin to snap pics of the rat.
there we are squatting over the rat  ant shooting it
from different angles when the next train pulls up.

a man gets off the train and as he passes by us he yells out
"hey! why dont'cha just take it home wit'cha?" and keeps on walking.

we yell baack at him
"better'n that, . . . gonna blog it!"

and so we do.

this is um.
what's the word
I'm looking for?
um.
disturbing?
Why oh why did I look at it twice?
Says so much about me.

p.s. wish I knew what it felt like to be in a Subway in NYC, in the winter. I just have to live vicariously thru you.

Beautiful. The post, not the rat.

By the way, thanks for your comment on the Mississippi's post. I'd forgot to mention it the other day.

Greetings from London.

cuban,
we enjoy you're posts, especially
the musical tours. you ARE wide-ranging in your musical tastes and its always good when we're exposed to
a something we've missed;and/or when we find an act we've not thought of in a while.

thank YOU.

:-)
