Silver Lining over Ground Zero

{images by O'Dasor De, LAM}

on the left is 7 World Trade. No one can explain why it fell on 9/11/2001.
it stands across Washington Street from the landmark 140 West Steet headquarters of Verizon which was pierced by a falling girder from the World Trade Center.

both buildings are up again and functioning.

between the buildings we see cranes working on the site of the September 11th 2001 Massacre at the World Trade Center.

there's a silver lining on the clouds over Ground Zero.

we were just standing there taking a break when we look up and see the image that you are seeing now. so, we shot it. it just makes sense in some weird way.

7 World Trade. the 9/11 Commission Report couldn't explain why the building fell so they did the next best thing, they left the building collapse out of their report. :-/

140 West Street, a landmark building in the Art Deco style is a treasure, even prettier on the inside lobby than it is on the outside. the lobby has a painted ceiling vault which runs the length of the building and it depicts the evolution of Communications: smoke signals to satellite transmissions. o'course no photos are allowed. :-(

one building collapses witout anything hitting it, the other remains standing though pummeled by WTC debris and Stabbed straight across the seventh floor by a steel girder. *sheesh* :-0

hooooodah thunk !?!

Ground Zero, seven years of building and still no . . . er . . uhm . . . uh. . . building.

visited daily by thousands of people staring at the cranes, bulldozers, and hardhats and snapping pix of smiling kids posing before the mass funeral pyre while paying their respects. :-(

overhead dark clouds
- - - but wait!
. . . is that the sun in the background . . .?

lezzhoapsoh.

I´m sorry.
Un abrazo,

Gattina, yer not missing much. :-0 if no one told you what you're looking at, you'd think it was just another construction site.
